Grupo Marca Registrada is a prominent Regional Mexican band that originated in Culiacán, Sinaloa, in 2014. The group comprises Fidel Oswaldo Castro (lead singer, composer, and accordionist), Luis Fernando Medina (drummer), Fidel Jiménez (bassist), and Ángel Mondragon (backing vocalist and guitarist). Their music, a unique fusion of traditional Latin rhythms with modern beats, has earned them international acclaim. While their style fits within the category of Regional Mexican and Pacific Norteño music, they also incorporate contemporary styles into their sound. Over the years, the band has collaborated with artists such as Carín León, Fuerza Regida, Edición Especial, Enigma Norteño, and Gerardo Ortíz, among others. Their 2023 single "Di Que Si," a collaboration with Grupo Frontera, reached number 89 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 15 on Hot Latin Songs, and hit number 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay charts. Their single "El Rescate," featuring Junior H, also enjoyed significant recognition, remaining on the Billboard Global 200 for seven weeks and reaching a peak position of 153. The popularity of this track helped cement the band's reputation as a fresh new powerhouse in the Regional Mexican music industry. In 2023, the group released their album Don't Stop the Magic, which peaked at number 187 on the Billboard 200. They followed this success later that year with Corleone, a 14-track album featuring guest spots by Sucesión M and Luis R Conriquez. Another LP titled THE GOAT arrived in May 2024, this time with contributions from Regional Mexican artists like Octavio Cuadras, Bocho Ramos, and Angel Cervantes.
