A contemporary composer initiated by Marcel Landowski, Guillaume Connesson studied composition and orchestration at the Paris Conservatoire with Dominique Rouits and Alain Louvier. Recognized as an important composer throughout the world, his work is performed by numerous prestigious ensembles, though rarely recorded. The author of Les Chants de l'Atlantide and Techno Parade 's varied influences range from early music to neo-classical and film scores. In 2011, his prolific, eclectic and promising work (numbering some sixty references) was crowned with the Grand Prix de la Sacem.
