Haley Chan, known professionally as Hana Kuk Tsz-kiu, earned her place in the spotlight through hard work, working multiple jobs after dropping out of school aged 13. Deciding to return to her studies at 20, Kuk marked the beginning of her musical journey as Haley Xc in Pleasure Garden, before making her singer-songwriter debut in 2016, under PanAsiaCC. Kuk released three singles that year, "Today's Me," "Fool in the Fairy Tale" and "Seven Years Old," with the first two singles achieving chart and radio success in China and Hong Kong. Building on her accomplishments, in 2017 Kuk signed a record deal with Voice Entertainment and christened the signing with a chart-topping single, "Lifetime Waiting." That November, Kuk unleashed her debut solo album, Forgot Myself, and picked up a host of awards, including the Popular New Artist award at the Cantonese Songs Chart Awards and Outstanding New Artist at the Chinese Golden Melody Awards, both in 2017. She continued her winning streak in 2018 with the release of a steady stream of popular singles and the arrival of her second album, Last Forever. Kuk ushered in her third studio album in 2020, Can't Let You Go.
