David Bošnjak (born November 5, 1989 in Villingen-Schwenningen) is better known to music fans in the German-speaking rap business as Haze. His parents fled to Germany as war refugees from Croatia. He discovered his love of hip-hop in his new home in Karlsruhe. His role models are luminaries such as Dr. Dre and Eminem. From the early 2010s, the artist began to actively work on his musical career. In 2012, Haze released his premiere mixtape Blues ausm Block. After another mixtape, Karlsruher Schule (2014), the debut album Guten Abend, Hip Hop .... followed in 2016 The album is distributed via Chapter One and immediately enters the German album charts at number 30. Collaborations with rap heavyweights such as MoTrip ("Gedanken") or Bonez MC and RAF Camora ("Es macht sich bezahlt") give Haze an even greater public reputation. Between self-reflective lyrics, drum computer beats and massive street credibility, the artist successfully places further releases in the German charts. The Zwielicht LP was released in 2018 and climbed to number 3 in Germany, reaching number 7 in Austria. Haze had already made it to the top of the Austrian charts with Brot und Spiele (2020). His third studio album reaches number 2 in Germany. The rapper maintains good contact with well-known colleagues such as 187 Strassenbande, Said and Bozza. In 2021, the singer presents his EP Zwielicht. The LP TagMond is released in the same year. The record again shines with top 10 positions in Germany and Switzerland. The EP Die Dunkle Seite des Mondes is released in 2022 and reaches number 18 in the German charts. Another longplay single, Die Mondstaub EP, followed in June 2024. It reaches number 39 in Germany.
