Jang Da-hye, born on August 9, 1991, in Daegu, South Korea, known professionally as Heize, is a singer, rapper, and songwriter from South Korea. She stepped into the music scene with her debut EP titled Heize in 2014, however her breakthrough came through her participation in the reality TV show Unpretty Rapstar during its second season, where she reached the competition's semi-finals, earning widespread recognition. In 2016, her EP And July, featuring the single Shut Up & Groove, made a notable impact. She continued her stride with subsequent EPs like You, Clouds, Rain in 2017 and Wind in 2018, which reached her highest chart position at number 9, earning her the R&B Discovery of the Year award at the Circle Chart Music Awards. In 2019, Heize made waves with hit pop singles such as “We Don't Talk Together” and “Can You See My Heart?”, both featured on the TV series Hotel Del Luna. Her debut studio album, She's Fine, released that year, secured the song of the year award for its title track at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. After a brief hiatus, Heize made a comeback on March 29, 2022, with her seventh EP, Happen, earning the Digital Song Bonsang award at the Golden Disc Awards for its title track. Following this, she released the digital single "Mother" on the same day and later dropped her second studio album, Undo, on June 30, 2022, reaching number 31 on the charts. Her EP Last Winter,released on December 7, 2023, landed at number 29
