Founded in 1998 by guitarist Mocke and vocalist Armelle Pioline, Holden is a French pop group whose four albums draw on influences as diverse as The Velvet Underground, jazz greats such as Thelonious Monk and Chet Baker, electronica and a certain baroque vision of French chanson. His album Chevrotine (2006) brought him greater success than he had previously enjoyed. After Fantomatisme in 2009 and a tour with Jean-Louis Murat, he released his fifth album, Sidération (2013).
