Houkago Princess are a Japanese idol group with a huge list of current and former members and nearly as many singles to their name. The group was formed in 2010 under the talent label Office COLOUR as a project for pro-wrestling costume designer Naoki to co-ordinate and design for. The initial lineup consisted of Odagiri Nana, Chiba Sakino, Noda Hitomi, Miyashita Mayuka, Kishitani Yuki, Hagi Yurika, Yamaguchi Mai and Yumeka, though in May 2011, just a few months before the launch of the group's debut single, Hagi Yurika left due to ill health. On August 3rd their debut single, 'Houkago Princess ~Oshiete Kudasai!~', launched and shortly after Houkago Princess began to play regularly at Ikebukuro WHITE BASE Theatre. It wasn't long before the first in a string of new members joined, with Nagafuji Aoi and Kobayashi Rena coming on board as trainees and then full members while Yamaguchi Mai went on to pursue other things. Over the next couple of years the group membership continued to evolve, while in 2013 the girls scored their first Indies Oricon Chart number one with 'Juliet ~Kimi wo Suki na 100 no Riyuu~ (2013 Version)'. The next few years saw highlights including the release of Houkago Princess's debut album, 'Seifuku Cinderella', which made it to number six in the Oricon album chart, their number two single 'Junpaku Antoinette' in 2016 and the July 2019 release of 'Shin Jidai Princess/Princess no Feigi'. The current lineup consists of Miyashita Maika; Michishige Saho; Sekine Sasara; Yukino Yuria; Kohinata Nanase; Yamamoto Natsumi; Tani Nobara; Takano Hiyori; Mizuki Aoi and Sawada Momoka.
