Hyojung

Choi Hyo-jung is a South Korean singer and leader of the K-pop girl group Oh My Girl. Known more popularly as Hyojung, she was born on July 28, 1994, in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province. She debuted on April 20, 2015, with the release of Oh My Girl's first extended play, the self-titled Oh My Girl. In February 2017, she gained recognition by competing in the reality competition King of Mask Singer under the alias "Moon." Hyojung continued to build her career by debuting in Oh My Girl's sub-unit, Oh My Girl Banhana, in April 2018, and in 2019, she took part in the reality show Queendom. That same year, she launched her channel "JJung2eonni" and expanded her solo activities, including becoming a DJ for Naver Now's Avenger Girls and a host for OnStyle's Get It Beauty in 2020. Her contributions to music include several soundtrack contributions, notably "Today, Just Like Yesterday" for the SBS drama Hyena in March 2020, and "Dear, Beloved" for the OST of Dear X Who Doesn’t Love Me in 2022. In 2021, she was chosen by Walt Disney Company Korea to sing the Korean version of "Lead the Way" for the animated film Raya and the Last Dragon.
