Ian

Rapper and singer Ian was born Ian Smith in St. Louis, Missouri on May 29, 2005. He began his career in 2018 under the pseudonym Suburbancerberus, releasing his own remixes of songs by popular artists on social media. The following year, he began producing other artists before finally working on his own music. Mixing a clean-cut, suburban image with his love of hip-hop and trap music, Ian received a significant amount of press when he released his debut solo single, “Figure It Out,” in May 2024. Less than a week later, he issued his debut mixtape Valedictorian, which reached number 54 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The mixtape’s next single, “Never Stop,” climbed into the Top 40 on Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. He then released the single "Fit Check" (2024), in collaboration with VonOff1700, followed by "Magic Johnson" for the deluxe reissue of the mixtape Valedictorian. The same year released the duet "Hate Me" with Lil Yachty, his first title to rank on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 68. It is the first single from the album Goodbye Horses, which also featured Chief Keef, Reign and Eyesis.
