US-based singer, songwriter, and rapper Michael Olmo – born on March 25, 1999, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico – is better known by his stage name Iann Dior. Growing up in Corpus Christi, Texas, he began his rapping career under the stage name Lil Rock, changing it to Olmo before finally settling on Iann Dior. As a young rapper, he quickly learned the art of manipulating social media and his popularity grew rapidly with some of his early releases such as “Molly”, “Emotions”, and “Cutthroat”. His songs collectively accumulated hundreds of thousands of hits on social media. To date, these early tracks still rank as some of his most successful recordings. In 2019, his career received a significant boost when he recorded “Gone Girl” with Trippie Redd, the rapper and songwriter from Canton, Ohio. In April of the same year, Olmo signed a deal with the independent record label 10K Projects and joined their stable of up-and-coming hip-hop stars including Icy Narco and Lil Gnar. Iann Dior released his first album, Industry Plant, in 2019, which was followed by the 2020 EP I’m Gone. The following year, he issued the Still Here EP before issuing his second album, On to Better Things, in January 2022. The album charted in the Top 100 in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Norway, and the Netherlands.
