Icona Pop are a Swedish pop duo based around vocalists Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo. The two girls met at a party in 2009 and four weeks later started writing material for their first live performance. The girls are unashamedly pop and their blend of punchy electronic rhythms mixed with strong hooks and catchy lyrics has seen them develop into one of Europe's premier teen pop bands. Their rise to fame began with the hit single 'I Love It', a strong dance tune which they promoted by a European festival tour. The song was also featured in a German advertising campaign for Coca Cola as well as in an episode of the hit US musical show 'Glee'. This high profile exposure ensured 'I love It' became a worldwide hit and to build on the momentum generated by the song the duo embarked on a US tour. A number of high profile collaborations with artists such as American dance pop band Cobra Starship and the Dutch DJ and producer Tiësto brought them new fans from Italy and other European countries.
