Idan Raichel

Composer, producer, keyboardist and performer born near Tel Aviv (Israel) in 1977, Idan Raichel made a name for himself with his first group album, Idan Raichel's Project, released in 2002. His fusion of traditional Arabic, African, folk and electronic music, set to lyrics sung in Hebrew, struck a chord with a wide audience, and the track "Bo-i" stayed at the top of the charts for several weeks. From then on, the musician's popularity grew among the Israeli diaspora abroad with the albums Mimmaamakim (2005), Within My Walls (2009) and Quarter to Six (2013). 2016 saw the release of a new album of international scope entitled At the End of the Beginning.
