Ima

Born Marie-Andrée Bergeron on May 11, 1978 in LaSalle (Canada), Ima is a pop singer from Quebec. Her debut album, " Baila ", released in September 2002, introduced her to the Quebec public. The following year, she performed some 50 shows and took part in the Quebec National Holiday show. March 2005 saw the release of her new album, Pardonne-Moi Si Je T'Aime . In 2006, she won her first role in the TV series Casino. In March 2007, Ima released the album Smile , which was certified gold in December of the same year. Three songs from the album hit the Quebec radio charts: " Et pourtant ", a cover of Charles Aznavour's "Et pourtant", " Laisse-moi t'aimer ", a cover of Mike Brant's "Laisse-moi t'aimer ", and " Reviens ". In March 2009, she presents the album A la Vida, with two songs in the top 10 on Quebec radio: " Drôle de vie " and " Le Temps des fleurs ". In November of the same year, she released a Christmas album featuring John Lennon's " Happy Xmas " and Robert Charlebois' " Marie-Noël ". In March 2011, she released her sixth career opus, Precious , and in June, she sang the national anthem at the Canadian Grand Prix. To celebrate her 10th anniversary in 2012, Ima presents a compilation of her 22 greatest hits. The same year, she performed her first sold-out show in Istanbul. In September 2016, she released her ninth album, Femme , followed by her first book in November, Merci la Vie . After giving birth to her daughter in 2018, she releases a new single in April 2019 called " J'y crois ". She does a yoga teacher training course in 2019 and 2020. In April 2021, she becomes an evening host on the Rythme FM radio station.
