imase

Born on November 9, 2000, in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, imase is a self-taught Japanese singer-songwriter who made his debut in 2021 with the gold-certified single "have a nice day," just a year after learning to write and compose music. In 2022, he released his first EP, Pop Cube, under Universal Music Japan, which reached number 18 on the charts. This EP included several singles, notably the viral hit "Night Dancer," which charted at number 38 in Japan, number 14 in Korea, and reached number 112 on the Billboard Global 200. The music video for "Night Dancer" surpassed 100 million views, making it the first J-POP song to enter the TOP 20 on South Korea's Melon streaming site. On March 30, 2023, imase’s first live concert with an audience, POP OVER, sold out immediately, and his debut studio album, Bonsai (凡才), released in May 2024, peaked at number 4, led by the singles "18" and "Nagisa," with the latter reaching the top 30.
