Isabella Summers, born October 31, 1980 in Hackney, England, would find international success as the partner of Florence Welch in the duo Florence and the Machine. After college she put together a music studio in her own home, began creating music, and eventually worked with Kashmere, MBC Crew, and others. Summers would write and produce multiple tracks for each of the duo’s albums first three albums, all of which hit number 1 in the UK. Among her compositions that charted were “No Light, No Light” and “Breath of Life”. In addition to her duties in Florence and the Machine, Summers became an in-demand writer and producer for others working with artists as varies as Iggy Azalea, LP, and Katharine McPhee. In 2017 she issued her first single, “Was It Love?”, which she created for the television series Riviera.
