Formed in Seoul in 2021, South Korean girl troupe IVE comprises six members: Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo. Signed to Starship Entertainment, the group launched their career with their debut single album Eleven in December 2021, driven by a viral single of the same name. Eleven struck Number 1 on South Korea's Gaon Album Chart and the group made their broadcast debut on KBS2's Music Bank that same month, where they performed the single. They also scored a string of wins on South Korean music shows, including KBS2's Music Bank, MBC's Music Core, and SBS Inkigayo. Having now set the stage for their future career as K-pop stars, IVE released a second single album in April 2022, Love Dive, also marked out by a single of the same name. Love Dive shot to the top of South Korea's Gaon Album Chart. In 2023, the group consolidated their work to date on their debut studio album I've Ive, which was anchored by two singles, "Kitsch," and "I Am," and went to the top of the charts in South Korea. The LP also picked up the Album of the Year gong at the 2023 Melon Music Awards. In 2024, the group unveiled their second Korean-language EP, Ive Switch, on Starship Entertainment, which comprised six tracks including the lead singles "Heya" and "Accendio." A month ahead of their August 2024 performance at Chicago's Lollapalooza festival, the group unveiled their second Japanese EP, Alive.
