Born on 11 March 1994 in British Hong Kong, Jace Chan is an award-winning singer, actor and producer who rose to prominence after landing a supporting role in ViuTV’s drama Margaret & David – Ex in 2017. She turned her focus to music after appearing on the Hong Kong singing contest King Maker in 2018, after attracted the attention of Universal after sharing online videos of herself singing with the group Dusty Bottle. After picking up the 2019 Metro Radio Music Awards - New Artist Award in 2019, she dropped a pair of singles: "Sudden Urge" (Chinese: 想突然) featuring LMF and 24Herbs and "Trying for Normalcy" (Chinese: 想正常). She firmed up her place on the national music map with the release of hit 2020 collaboration, "Born to be in Second Place" (Chinese: 天生二品) created alongside Hirsk, a Hong Kong Composer, and Alex Fung. The track reached the summit of the charts in Hong Kong and paved the way for a second Alex Fung collaboration, "Quarantine" (Chinese: "隔離"), which was released in August 2019 and landed in the Top 10 Song category at the Metro Radio Music Awards 2020 as her music career continued to gather pace. Her debut album for Universal Music Hong Kong, Processing, arrived the following year and was later certified platinum. In 2022 she cracked the Top 20 with "Ge Li (隔離)," created alongside Terence Lam, and teamed up with Lin Ruoning to release the single "Long D." After a short hiatus, she returned in October 2023 with the Hatching EP and a new company, Jace World after parting ways with Universal.
