Jagged Edge

American R&B group Jagged Edge enjoyed a string of hits between the late 1990s and early 2000s. Comprising brothers Brian and Brandon Casey and bandmates Kyle Norman and Richard Wingo, the quartet, formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1995, was signed to Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label and broke into the charts with "The Way That You Walk", a collaboration with rapper Da Brat that appeared on debut album A Jagged Era (1997). With the rise of its successor J.E. Heartbreak (1999), ranked No. 8 in the pop charts and No. 1 R&B), Jagged Edge scored its first R&B No. 1 with "Let's Get Married", followed at the top by "Promise" and "Where the Party At", a duet with Nelly from the third album Jagged Little Thrill (No. 3 in 2001). The band continued their climb to the top of the charts with subsequent albums Hard (2003), Jagged Edge (2006) and Baby Makin' Project (2007), before leaving So So Def for the independent label Slip-N-Slide, due to less convincing results. This period saw the release of the 2011 album The Remedy, followed by J.E. Heartbreak 2 in 2014, Layover in 2017 and A Jagged Love Story in 2020. In 2025, the band returned to the charts with "Just Might Get It", taken from the album All Original Parts: Volume 1.
