Jagwar Twin

Jagwar Twin, the brainchild of visionary musician Roy English (born on 22 May 1988 in Los Angeles, California), is a genre-agnostic artist known for blending elements of rock, pop, and alternative music into a unique sonic experience. After cutting his teeth in the bands Dead Letter Diaries, Eye Alaska, and Canary Dynasty, he emerged as a solo artist in 2015 with “Julianne," also writing and contributing vocals to Alesso's 2015 single "Cool," which went to number 10 on the UK Singles Chart and number three on the UK Dance Chart. He began gathering momentum with his debut EP I'm Not Here, Pt. 1 in 2016 but it was with the release of outsider pop anthem "Loser" in 2018 that he helped him break through to the mainstream. Jagwar Twin went on to captivate audiences with his debut album, Subject to Flooding in 2019 and continued with his sophomore album 33, released via Big Loud Rock in 2022. The following year, he marked the release of the Wonka movie with the rock-tinged single "Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa)," which by January 2024 had reached number 24 on Billboard's Hot Alternative Songs chart and number 36 on their Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. A remix of "Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa)" by whatyoudid followed in 2024.
