In the early 2000s, rap producer Jake One collaborated with the G-Unit collective, led by 50 Cent. In 2008, the Seattle, Washington native released the album White Van Music, on which he collaborated with artists from the G-Unit galaxy and veterans De La Soul. In 2010, Jake One supports Freway on the joint album The Stimulus Package. The same year, he supported Truthlife on Patience, credited to both their names. Very much at ease in two-man projects, Jake One rubs shoulders with Mayer Hawthorne's neo-soul on Tuxedo in 2015.
