It's undoubtedly frustrating for a singer to officiate in a band best known for its long instrumentals. While James LaBrie has been loyal to Dream Theater since 1991, he never misses an opportunity to make his magnificent voice resound under other skies. First with MullMuzzler, a pretext band, then under his own name. James LaBrie released Elements of Persuasion in 2005 and Prime Cuts in 2008. The latter album is in fact a compilation of his solo work. James LaBrie regularly takes part in projects by other bands such as Shadow Gallery and Ayreon.
