Jean-Jacques Debout began his career as a singer with "Les Boutons dorés". He soon became a successful songwriter for Johnny Hallyday and, above all, Sylvie Vartan. His meeting with Chantal Goya, who became his wife, turned his career upside down. Jean-Jacques Debout built a poetic universe for his favorite performer, nourished by childhood dreams, which ensured his success. In 1992, he finally realized his great work with the musical Paul et Virginie. In 2013, he released his first original album in fifteen years, Bourlingueur des Étoiles. Sous le Soleil des Guinguettes, a tribute to some of his influences released the same year, proved a real success, followed by Les Chansons des Guinguettes and, in 2014, Sur le Chemin du Bonheur.
