Jean-Michel Caradec came and went like an angel. A rising star of French chanson with songs like "Ma petite fille de rêve" (1974), "Île", "La Ballade de MacDonald", "Pas en France" and "Le Fil du funambule", he died tragically in a car accident in 1981. His memory remained intact, and he was a declared influence on Didier Barbelivien (whom he made famous) and Francis Cabrel.
