The German indie pop band Jeremias was founded in Hanover in 2018 and signed to Vertigo Records. Frontman and singer Jeremias Heimbach, who had previously made music as a singer-songwriter, joined forces with guitarist Oliver Sparkuhle. Ben Hoffmann on bass and Jonas Hermann on drums have completed the band since spring 2018. As the support act for Giant Rooks and Ok Kid, Jeremias became increasingly well-known. In 2019, the debut EP Du musst an den Frühling glauben is released. In the same year, the single "Grüne Augen lügen nicht" (Green Eyes Don't Lie ) achieves its first chart entry in Germany at number 96. further singles followed in 2020. Golden Hour , Jeremias' debut album, followed a year later. The longplayer immediately made it into the top 10 of the German charts at number 9. The collaboration single "Liebe zu Dritt" with Majan and Provinz also made another chart entry in 2021, reaching number 77. Jeremias continued to tour Germany and release new songs. In 2023, the song "Verrückt " made it to number 7 in the German single trend charts. September 2023 sees the release of Jeremias' second studio album Vom Wind und Anonymität.
