Canadian blues, rock and Americana musician Jeremie Albino was born in Toronto, Ontario. Attracted to the blues as a youngster, he learned to play guitar and harmonica, before performing on the street. He settled in rural Prince Edward County, where for a decade he worked on farms and played in the evenings. Noticed at an open session in a club, he was hired to perform regularly and signed with Johnny Shipes' Cinematic Music Group label, recording his debut album Hard Time (2019) to critical acclaim. Backed by a band, he performs from Canada to the United States, collaborating with singer Cat Clyde on the album Blue Blue Blue, released in 2021. After a joint tour in which the duo peppered their compositions with folk and blues covers, Jeremie Albino returned to solo work in 2023 with the album Tears You Hide, followed by a European tour. In 2024, after meeting producer and Black Keys member Dan Auerbach, he signed with the Easy Eye Sound label and recorded in Nashville with studio musicians, including a brass section. The result, the album Our Time in the Sun, reached No. 2 in the bluegrass charts.
