R&B singer and American rapper Jeremih Felton was born in Chicago on July 17, 1987. While pursuing a business degree at Columbia College Chicago, he began working closely with producer Mike Schultz on material for his debut self-titled album, which was later released on the Def Jam label in 2009. The album's first single, "Birthday Sex," topped the Billboard R&B singles chart and also reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. The album went gold, as did its 2010 follow-up, All About You. "Down on Me," All About You's second single, climbed to Number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and eventually went five-times platinum. Jeremih's streak of platinum-certified hits continued with 2013's "All the Time," 2014's "Don't Tell 'Em," 2015's "Planez," and 2016's "Oui." He also appeared on other artists' hits, joining Nelly for the platinum-selling rap hit "The Fix" and appearing alongside Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, and others on DJ Khaled's Top 40 smash "Do You Mind." After releasing his third record, Late Nights: The Album, Jeremih formed the duo MihTy with Ty Dolla Sign and released the group's self-titled album in 2018.
