Kim Ji-soo, better known by her stage name Jisoo, is a South Korean singer, actress and model. She was born on January 3, 1995, in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, and is best known as a member of the popular K-pop girl group Blackpink. Jisoo started her entertainment career as a trainee at YG Entertainment and after several years of training, she was selected to be a member of Blackpink, alongside fellow members Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé. Blackpink debuted in 2016 with their single album Square One, which included the hit singles "Boombayah" and "Whistle." The group quickly gained international recognition, quickly becoming one of the most successful K-pop acts of all time. In 2020, Jisoo’s multiple talents emerged, writing the lead single “Lovesick Girls” for Blackpink’s debut album The Album and “Yeah Yeah Yeah” for 2022 record Born Pink. In the meantime, Jissoo had also branched out as an actress, starring in JTBC series Snowdrop, which earned her the award for Most Outstanding Korean Actress at the Seoul International Drama Awards. In March 2023, Jisoo released her debut single “Flower” topping global music charts, followed by her single album Me, released later in the month.
