João Bosco & Vinícius

João Bosco & Vinícius, pioneers of sertanejo universitário, began their musical journey as childhood friends in Coxim, Mato Grosso do Sul. After performing at local festivals, they officially formed as a duo and built their reputation playing in bars and events across the state. In 2003, they released their debut album, Acústico no Bar, which became a local sensation. Their rise continued with Ao Vivo (2005) and Acústico pelo Brasil (2007), featuring collaborations with César Menotti & Fabiano and Grupo Tradição. Their breakthrough came with Curtição (2009), which included the hit "Chora, Me Liga" and earned them a Latin Grammy nomination. The momentum carried into Coração Apaixonou (2010), recorded before 40,000 fans in Ribeirão Preto and featuring a guest appearance by Leonardo. The following years saw international tours, performances at major festivals, and chart-topping singles like "Chuva" and "Abelha" with Jorge & Mateus. Their self-titled 2011 album won a Latin Grammy, solidifying their status in the genre. They continued their success with releases like Indescritível (2014) and Céu de São Paulo (2016), while collaborations with Henrique & Juliano, Wesley Safadão, and Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano reinforced their influence in sertanejo. In 2023, they joined Daniel for "Você Só Me Faz Feliz," celebrating 40 years of João Paulo & Daniel’s legacy. 2024 saw the release of the live LP JB&V 21 In Concert, which featured the single "Deixaria Tudo."
