Joe Stone

Born in the Netherlands, Maurice Oude Booyink developed a passion for the keyboard at the age of 7, and grew up listening to the classical music his parents loved. As a teenager, he turned more to funk and soul, even forming a band at the age of 16. Eventually, he turned to dance, where his taste for studio recording could flourish. He released his first singles under the name Inmado and even produced tracks for other artists such as R3hab and Sharon Doorson. He then signed a contract with Spinnin' Records and chose a new pseudonym, Joe Stone. He had already made a name for himself in the international dance community, but in 2015 he broke new ground with his house remix of Montell Jordan's hit "This Is How We Do It", originally released in 1995, which reached number 25 in the US dance charts.
