Johan Kim

Johan Kim, born on March 31, 1973, in the United States, is a Korean-American singer known for his significant contributions to the genres of R&B and soul in Korean music industry. He initially gained fame as the lead vocalist of the groundbreaking group Solid, which was instrumental in popularizing R&B music in Korea during the 1990s. Solid's albums, such as Give Me a Chance (1994) and Light Camera Action (1996), produced timeless hits like "Holding the End of the Night" and "My Only Friend". Following the group's disbandment, Kim embarked on a successful solo career, releasing notable albums including Johan Kim (1998), Travel (2002), Soul Family With Johan (2007), Once In A Lifetime (2015). Kim has been recognized with several awards, including the Mnet Asian Music Award for Best R&B Performance.
