Jonathan Traylor is an American singer-songwriter, keyboardist, and dancer whose music effortlessly combines contemporary gospel and R&B with a powerful message of spiritual resilience. Born and raised in Dallas, the church played an intrinsic role in his life. Singing in the youth choir of his stepfather's congregation, he also experienced the contrasting realities of faith and familial challenges. A glimpse of hope emerged when he purchased a used Casio keyboard, despite having no knowledge of playing it. Fueled by faith and a desire to serve his church, he began composing melodies inspired by radio tunes and gradually wrote original songs. His journey in music ministry took a significant turn when he led the Christian rock band One1Way, whose singles "Rise" (2014) and "Here I Am" (2015) set the tone for his flourishing career. Eventually choosing to pursue a solo career while juggling fatherhood and marriage, Jonathan Traylor's commitment to his craft shone through his self-financed debut, Stones & Giants, in 2018. Driven forward by hits like "Won't Let Me Down," "Masterpiece," and "Breathe Life," the album earned him a contract with Motown Gospel and Capitol CMG. Motown's re-release of the album in 2019 witnessed over 1 million streams within a month, catapulting the artist to stardom. Although the global COVID-19 pandemic interrupted his musical journey, he released The Unknown EP in 2020, followed by his second extended play, I'm Here for You, in 2021. Released in 2023, his third EP Closer Than You Think fulfilled the promise of his earlier work, with its lead single "The King Is on the Way" reaching Number 48 on Billboard's Top 50 Radio Christian Songs.
