Born in Annapolis, Maryland, on April 9, 1987, guitarist and singer Jordan Tice grew up in the world of bluegrass music with his musician parents. A graduate of Towson University, he recorded his first albums, No Place Better (2006) and Long Story (2008), before moving to Boston and then New York. under contract with the Patuxent Music label since his debut, he produced his third album The Secret History (2011) as a trio, between collaborations with Frank Wakefield, Wes Corbett and Simon Chrisman, the Dave Rawlings Machine and Carrie Newcomer. After his fifth album Motivational Speakeasy (2020), he joined the band Hawktail, with whom he contributed to three albums released between 2020 and 2022, accompanying Alexa Wildish, Adam Hurt and Andrew Marlin. In 2024, his sixth album Wild Rose of Morning reached No. 6 in the bluegrass charts.
