Kap Bambino

Formed in Bordeaux in 2001, the Kap Bambino duo follow in the synthetic punk footsteps of Kas Product. Made up of singer Caroline Martial and keyboardist, programmer and producer Orion Bouvier, the group established its reputation on the live scene and made a name for itself outside French borders with the release in 2002 of the album Love, credited to Kap Bambino & Khima France. The following album, Zero Life, Night Vision, released in 2006, broadened the duo's musical palette, with electro-rock veiled in 8-bit sounds. Kap Bambino was on the bill at major festivals such as the Eurockéennes in Belfort, Glastonbury and South by Southwest in Austin (USA), and moved from his home-grown label Wwilko to the young structure Because Music for the albums Blacklist (2009) and Devotion (2012), produced between remix commissions for Birdy Nam Nam, Moby, You Love Her Coz She's Dead and Frustration. Seven years passed before the release of the fourth album Dust, Fierce, Forever in 2019, during which time Bouvier and Marital ran separate projects, Groupgris and Khima France respectively. After a period of reduced stage activity during the Covid-19 pandemic, the duo reunited to record the album No Domination, released in 2025.
