Karan Aujla - born Jaskaran Singh Aujla on January 18, 1997, in Punjab, India- is a pop, bhangra, and hip-hop singer and rapper. An extremely prolific artist, he as released over 50 solo singles, collaborated on 54 songs with other artists, and has written lyrics for 34 additional songs. Karan Aujla began his career writing lyrics for Indian singer / actor Jassie Gill and others. His debut as a singer was 2014’s “Cell Phone,” a collaboration with Mac Benipal. Karan Aujla’s first solo release was 2016’s “Property of Punjab.” Since 2018, he has released a series of singles including Top 40 entries such as “Don’t Worry” featuring Gurlez Akhtar (2018), “Don’t Look” (2018), “2Am” (2019), “Chitta Kurta” (2019), “Jahanjar” (2020), “So Far” (2020), and the enormously popular “Adhiya” (2020), which reached number 2 on the singles chart. His songs have been included on Punjabi playlists, movie soundtracks, and global charts. Karan Aujla released his debut album, BacTHAfucUP, in 2021. In March 2022, he collaborated with Inder Chahal on the single “Dream,” which was streamed more than 26 million times on social media within three weeks of release. In 2023, Karan Aujla collaborated with musician / producer Ikky on the hit album Making Memories, the For You EP, and singles such as “Try Me,” “Champion’s Anthem,” and “Softly.” Karan Aujla’s next collaboration was with rapper Divine on the 2024 album Street Dreams and the singles “100 Million,” “Hisaab,” and “Nothing Lasts.” Another 2024 collaboration with Mxrci led to two hit singles: “Goin’ Off” and “Winning Speech.”
