Born Ryan Gary Raddon on 25 February 1971 in Chicago, Illinois, the US DJ, producer, and remixer known as Kaskade began his career in the mid-1990s and rose through the ranks to earn a seat at the top table of American DJs. He cut his music industry teeth first as an A&R director and record store owner at the same time as honing his DJ and production skills, finding an affinity with the deep house movement in the late 1990s before dropping his debut single "What I Say" on OM Records in 2001. His first full-length followed in 2003, It's You, It's Me, while he slipped into the Top 10 dance singles chart with its 2004 successor In the Moment, which spawned hits in "Steppin' Out" and "Everything." Released in 2006, his fourth album Love Mysterious produced his third Top 10 dance hit in a row with "Sorry," which was given a taste of Grammy fame: the Dirty South remix of the track was nominated for Best Remixed Recording in 2008. After releasing several more albums, including 2010's Dynasty—which cracked the US Billboard 200—and 2011's Fire & Ice—which charted at number 17 on the same chart—he went on to enjoy his own moment in the Grammy spotlight thanks to follow-up album Atmosphere. Released in 2013, the LP was nominated for two Grammy Awards: Best Dance Recording for the title track and Best Dance/Electronica Album for the LP. His ninth studio album Automatic arrived in 2015 and he veered into Christmas music territory for his next studio offering, Kaskade Christmas, released in 2017 with festive follow-up Kaskade Christmas Volume 2 landing in November 2023. Also in 2023, he reunited with Deadmau5 following their string of previous collaborations such as 2008's "I Remember" and 2016's "Beneath with Me." The pair's collaborative album Kx5 peaked at number six on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. 2023 was a busy year of albums for Kaskade, who also unleashed the REDUX 006 LP that year, generating a Top 40 US dance hit in "On My Way." The start of 2024 was marked by the release of the "Disarm You" single featuring Ilsey.
