Successful American actress and producer Kate Hudson turned to singing with her debut album Glorious, released in 2024. Born in Los Angeles on April 19, 1979, the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn and musician Bill Hudson grew up in Colorado with stepfather Kurt Russell and studied in Santa Monica, before embarking on a career in television and film. Her breakthrough role in Almost Famous (2000) won her the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor and earned her an Oscar nomination. She went on to play romantic comedies and other genres, such as the dark Bride Wars (2009) and the thriller The Killer Inside Me (2010), and appeared in Glee alongside other roles. Also known for her relationships with Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes or Matthew Bellamy of The Muse, Kate Hudson has made a few forays into music, notably with Sia for the soundtrack to the film Music (2021), before recording her debut album Glorious (2024). Followed by the singles "Voices Carry" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", Glorious was reissued with three additional tracks in February 2025.
