Heiress to the founder of a famous hotel chain bearing her name, Paris Hilton tried her hand at singing with a successful debut album in 2006. Born in New York on February 17, 1981, she made her name as a model and actress. In 2003, the TV series The Simple Life, alongside Nicole Richie, gave her greater visibility, before she turned to singing. After setting up her own label, distributed by Warner, she worked with producers Rob Cavallo and Scott Storch on the soundtrack for her debut album. Preceded by the release of the reggae-pop single "Stars Are Blind", charted worldwide (No. 18 in the U.S., No. 5 in the U.K.), the latter, entitled Paris, was released in August 2006 and reached No. 6 in the U.S. charts, revealing other less buoyant singles such as "Turn It Up". Between other film roles and appearances on reality TV shows, Paris Hilton continued to record occasionally throughout the 2010s. In 2018, the track "I Need You" entered the dance charts. After a collaboration with electro duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the singer returns to the forefront with the album Infinite Icon (2024), featuring duets with Meghan Trainor, Sia, Megan Thee Stallion, Rina Sawayama and Maria Becerra.
