Kebee (born Bae Lee-sak on May 29, 1983) is a renowned South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He first gained prominence as a member of the hip-hop duo Eluphant and as the former CEO of the influential hip-hop label Soul Company. His thoughtful, poetic lyrics and distinct sound have left a mark on the Korean music scene since his debut. Kebee released his first album, Evolutional Poems, in 2004, which was well-received for its introspective lyricism. In 2007, he released Poetree Syndrome, further solidifying his reputation as an intellectual lyricist within the Korean hip-hop community. His 2013 album Lost & Found, featuring the single "Her Office" with The Black Skirts, achieved chart success and highlighted his skill in blending rap with indie music elements. Kebee also participated in Mnet's Show Me the Money 6, gaining wider recognition in South Korea's mainstream music scene. Apart from his solo career, Kebee has contributed as a lyricist to K-pop acts such as Wanna One, IZONE, Park Ji-hoon, and MXM. In 2019, he founded Hi-Fly Music, a production company focused on nurturing artistic individuality and producing multimedia content. His latest album, Water, was released in 2017.
