Keith Nieto, saxophonist and former leader of the renowned La Maquinaria Norteña, has been a prominent figure in Regional Mexican music. Born in Decatur, Texas, Keith displayed his musical talent from an early age, particularly alongside his brothers in La Maquinaria Norteña, a group that achieved great success and earned multiple Latin Grammy nominations. After parting ways with the group and signing with Azteca Music Group in 2023, Keith Nieto embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut EP Saxy in February 2024. This seven-track EP includes songs like "¿Por Qué Conmigo No?," "Contigo Sí," and "Sólo Tú," showcasing his growth as both a musician and a composer. Saxy II, his debut album, arrived in May 2024 and featured contributions from Baldemar Nieto on the tracks "3 Días" and "Partiéndome el Alma." It was followed later that year by the sax-heavy single "Te Borraré," which reached number 38 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart and was included in his second full-length De Norte a Sur, released in September 2024.
