Kensington Road is a rock band from Germany that was founded in 2008. The band is fronted by singer, guitarist and songwriter Stefan Tomek. Musically, the band plays indie rock and alternative music. The current line-up includes guitarist and singer René Lindstedt, keyboardist Michael Pfrenger, bassist Dominik Henn and drummer Jan Türk. Their debut album A Story From Somewhere In Between was released in 2009 together with the singles "Satellite" and "Leave This Town". Another song, "Personal Transcendental Experience", becomes the official song of the DTM racing series in 2010. Another year later, album number 2 followed with The Last Living Giant. With "So Alive", Kensington Road once again provided the official song for the 2011 DTM championship. This was followed by tour appearances as the support band for well-known names such as Simple Minds, Mando Diao, Sunrise Avenue, Hurts and Ronan Keating. It was not until 2015 that the band returned with The White Noise EP. Another three years later, the album Lumidor made its first chart entry in Germany at number 30. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it took until 2021 before the next album, Sex Devils Ocean, was released. The longplayer only just missed the German top 10 at number 13. After the live album Live at Tiger & Turtle (2022), Kensington Road released another studio album, Charlie Is Alive, in 2024. The longplayer climbed to number 18 in Germany.
