Despite a name that sounds like something out of a cartoon universe, Kid Harpoon is a new jewel in the crown of British pop, regenerating itself in successive generations. Hailing from the distant Buzzcocks, then the Britpop of Blur, Kid Harpoon's inspiration is real, and Once' s debut album, released in 2009, is a fresh nugget of the genre.
