South Korean MC Kim Seung-min was born on August 7, 1995, in the city of Inchon. He took his first steps in the K-hip hop scene as a member of the rap collective WYBH before signing to Beautiful Noise and making his solo debut with the 2018 single "Dollar Sign." In addition to his recording career, he has also made appearances in the seventh and eighth seasons of the televised rap competition Show Me the Money. Island, his first extended play, appeared in 2018 and was followed by the standalone singles "Hollywood" with JUSTTHIS and "Chase the Star" in 2019. The following year, Kim Seung-min issued the EPs Rio Loves Tokyo Part 1 & 2, which featured cameos by Ash Island, Derek, Skinny Brown, Yunhway, Jiselle, and bandmate Han Yo Han. In 2021, the R&B-flavored single "One, Two," released as the second single from his studio debut Prototype Research #0063, entered the South Korean Top 200 at Number 186. "Blue Eyes," the album's third single, appeared later that year.
