Real name Kim Almarcha, zouk, urban pop and R&B singer Kim was born on March 6, 1990 in Paris, France. She was just 14 when she was spotted by a producer at a music festival. He included her in the cast of the musical L'Arme du Coeur. Four years later, the young singer took part in a compilation released by Warner, Passion Zouk 2009. Her debut album, Premier Pas, was released in 2009, and included the track "Mon ami". In 2010, she won the "Trophées des Arts afro-caribéens" award for best newcomer of the year, and then embarked on a long tour that took her as far afield as Africa and the United States. Other singles followed, such as "Mal à t'oublier" and "Ne t'en va pas" in collaboration with Marvin. Also working with artists such as Matt Houston, Tropical Family, Ryder, Nickson, Camro and Impar, she returned in 2016 with a second album entitled Kim. In 2021, she returned alongside Gazo for the single "Love & Lové" (No. 105).
