Created in 2016 in Japan by En Morikura and Tomitake, Kizuna AI is one of the first virtual YouTubers (aka VTuber). Within four years of her debut, she was the most popular VTuber with over four million subscribers. Kizuna AI has several channels aimed at different audiences including gaming fans and Chinese fans. After years of speculation, it was confirmed that anime voice actress Nozomi Kasuga provided Kizuna AI’s voice. Over the course of Kizuna AI’s lifespan, there have been several music videos and singles including “Hello Morning” (2018), “Over the Reality” (2018), “Precious Piece” (2019), “Touch Me” and “Hello World” (both 2020).
