Kristene DiMarco is a platinum-selling Christian artist and Dove Award-nominated songwriter from Niagara Falls, New York. She was born as "Kristene Elizabeth Mueller" on January 28, 1985. While attending Destiny Christian Church as a teenager, she began leading songs as a member of the worship team. Her burgeoning music career eventually took her to San Francisco, California, where she signed with the California-based label Jesus Culture Music and released her debut album, Those Who Dream, in 2008. The album was reissued two years later by Kingsway Music, and DiMarco remained the Kingsway label for 2012's Safe Place. Three years later, she collaborated with Bethel Music on the hit song "It Is Well," which went platinum in America and reached number 27 on the Hot Christian Songs chart. The song also appeared on Bethel Music's live album, You Make Me Brave: Live at the Civic, a transatlantic hit that reached Number 1 on the Top Christian Albums Chart in the US as well as the Christian & Gospel Albums Chart in the UK. DiMarco released a live album of her own, Mighty, during the summer of 2015, reaching number 7 on Top Christian Albums and paving the way for an even bigger splash with her follow-up studio release, Where His Light Was. Arriving in 2017, Where His Light Was peaked at number 3 on Top Christian Albums and became a chart-topping success overseas, where it hit Number 1 on the UK's Christian & Gospel Albums Chart. "Take Courage," the album's biggest single, peaked at number 36 on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart. The Field followed in 2022, and DiMarco received a GMA Dove Award nomination that same year for her work on the Gable Price track "I Need You." Two years later, she returned to the Hot Christian Songs chart with "Death is Hollow," which debuted at number 43.
