Kungs

Valentin Brunel aka Kungs is a French DJ and producer from Toulon, where he was born on December 17, 1996. From the age of five, he played the djembe, then discovered rock thanks to his music-loving father. An electro enthusiast, the teenager produced numerous pirate releases and other unofficial remixes of his idols, which he posted on social networks. These included tracks such as Bob Marley & the Wailers' "Jammin'" and Lana Del Rey's "West Coast", a cover done with singer Molly. Thanks to this viral success, requests for remixes soon poured in from renowned DJs such as Axwell and Ingrosso and Lost Frequencies, whose track "Are You with Me" he remixed . Kungs then released a track under his own name , "To Describe You", featuring Mozambo and Molly. In 2016, club music veteran David Guetta took him under his wing for seven concerts on his European tour. That same year, his debut single "This Girl" put him on the house music map, making a name for himself in clubs and on the airwaves, as well as in the charts, where it gave the artist his first No. 1. In 2016, he produced his very first album entitled Layers, which also featured tracks such as "Don't You Know" (No. 5), "I Feel so Bad" (No. 3) and "You Remain" (No. 45). Although he released a few tracks in the years that followed, it wasn't until 2022 that he returned with a new full-length project, Club Azur, which reached No. 11 in France. It featured tracks such as "Never Going Home" (No. 5), "Lipstick" (No. 148) and "Clap Your Hands" (No. 53). In 2024, he released two new singles, "All Night Long" (no. 118), which he recorded with David Guetta and Izzy Bizu, and "Please Be Mine", which he conceived with DJ Seinfield. In August 2024, Kungs released The Complete Collection, a collection of his greatest hits on vinyl, including "This Girl", "Don't You Know" and "Never Going Home". The album reached number 109 in the French album chart.
