La Adictiva

La Adictiva, originally known as La Adictiva Banda San José de Mesillas, is one of the most prominent Regional Mexican bands, hailing from San José de Mesillas, Sinaloa. Founded in March 1990, the group began as a local favorite and rose to national and international fame thanks to their ability to blend heartfelt ballads with vibrant banda rhythms. Their breakthrough came with albums like Corridos Adictivos (2007), which marked their transition to the name La Adictiva and established their identity in the genre. Early hits such as "Por qué sin ti," "Te amo y te amo," and "El pasado es pasado" solidified their reputation as trailblazers in banda music. Throughout their career, La Adictiva has released over a dozen albums, including standout projects like Vida Sinaloense (2010), Nada Iguales (2011), and 30 Aniversario (2020), showcasing their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots. Known for their dynamic performances and memorable lyrics, the group’s lineup has seen changes over the years, with vocalists like Claudio Alcaraz and Memo Garza leaving a lasting impact. Over the following years, La Adictiva continued to innovate, signing with Sony Music in 2024 and releasing the album On the Road, which found them making a foray into corridos tumbados with "La Pelinegra" alongside Gabito Ballesteros. That year, the group also released another LP titled Rancheras & Adictivas.
