La Femme

The story of French pop and rock band La Femme began in Biarritz in 2010. Still in high school, the two founding members Sacha Got and Marlon Magnée pooled their talents before welcoming Sam Lefèvre, Noé Delmas and Lucas Nunez Ritter. Met on a social network, lead singer Clémence Quélennec joined the band in 2012. A first EP of the same name was released in 2010, marking the beginning of the band's psychedelic and new wave-influenced discography. But it was above all with the debut album Psycho Tropical Berlin (2013), ranked No. 33, and a new EP of the same name released the same year, that La Femme became known to the general public and broadened its audience with a Victoire de la musique award in the "Album revelation of the year" category. While La Femme's personnel fluctuates over the years, seeing regular collaborator Clara Luciani take off for a solo career in particular, the band frequently releases new tracks such as "Sphynx", "Où va le monde?" and "Septembre", taken from their second album Mystère (No. 9 in 2018). Its successor Paradigmes reached No. 14 in 2021, while the Latin-influenced Teatro Lúcido (2022, No. 32) took La Femme on an extensive tour of South America and Asia. Paris Hawaï(2023, no. 26) follows, turning to the music of the American archipelago, while the following year, Rock Machine, sees a return to the new wave influences of the early days.
