LaFee was born Christina Klein on December 9, 1990 in Stolberg near Aachen. She is a German singer who is mainly active in the genres of pop-rock and German-language rock music. She first came to prominence in 2006 at the age of 15 with her debut album LaFee, which reached number 1 in the German album charts. The single "Virus" also made it into the German charts and established her reputation as a teen rock star with a rebellious image. The second studio album Jetzt erst recht (Now more than ever) follows in 2007 and again reaches number 1 in Germany. The single "Heul doch" becomes her best-known hit to date and reaches high chart positions in German-speaking countries. Christina Klein also enjoys great success in Austria and Switzerland as LaFee. 2008 sees the release of the third album Shut Up, which contains English versions of her previous songs. The fourth studio album Ring frei follows in the same year, reaching number 6 in the German charts. After a creative break of several years, LaFee returned in 2011 with the album Frei. In 2021, the comeback album Zurück in die Zukunft is released, on which she reinterprets well-known German rock and pop songs, including "(Ich bin) Keine Maschine" and "Was wollen wir trinken". The album Back to the Future also places in the German charts. Christina Klein receives several Echo Pop awards for her musical success, including in the categories "Artist National Rock/Pop" and "Newcomer National". She is also awarded the Bravo Otto in Gold.
