Las Culisueltas

Emerging in 2011 as the female counterpart to Los Wachiturros, Argentine cumbia group Las Culisueltas quickly gained popularity with their debut single, "Envidia." The original lineup featured lead vocalists La Chenny and La Kitty, supported by dancers Pony, Joha, Belu, and Pitu. Their energetic performances and catchy tunes resonated with fans, propelling them to fame. However, internal conflicts led to significant lineup changes; in 2013, La Kitty announced her departure to pursue a solo career, and by 2014, La Chenny had left the group to join the Buenos Aires police force. Despite these challenges, Las Culisueltas attempted a comeback in 2018 with the original members, releasing new versions of their popular tracks. This reunion was short-lived due to ongoing disputes. In 2020, under new leadership, the group released covers of hits like "Aserejé" and "La Cobra," aiming to recapture their earlier success. Throughout their turbulent journey, Las Culisueltas have remained a notable name in the Argentine cumbia scene.
